Join a team of citizen scientists to survey winter prairie birds at the Cibolo Nature Center and neighboring Cibolo Preserve.  This survey focuses on priority and indicator species that illustrate the health of our grasslands as habitat for winter prairie birds.  This survey is open to experienced and inexperienced surveyors who want to contribute to ecological science and learn prairie bird survey techniques.   This survey involves a lot of walking through thick grass for which long pants and closed toed shoes are highly recommended.
