Songs & Stories Concert: TX LadyBugs

The all-female Texas LadyBugs will bring their country-blues-Americana music to the Cibolo Nature Center’s Songs & Stories outdoor concert series at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11. The concert under the oaks and the evening stars will help support nature education and outreach programs at the non-profit Cibolo Nature Center.
With the slogan “Shake What Yer Mama Gave You,” the LadyBugs perform a mix of original music and old standards led by Katherine “LadyBug” Dawn on lead guitar and vocals, who was voted 2010 Texas Music Coalition Artist of the Year by the membership at TMC's annual fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 24 and was a finalist for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2010 Texas Music Awards. Other band members include Susan "Sunshine" Taylor, harmonica, keyboards and vocals; Wave Harless, percussion; Ginger "Blue" Pickett, guitar and vocals; and Melinda "Queen B" Day, bass and vocals;
