FARM: Growing Your Own Culinary Mushrooms

Location: Herff Farm Teaching Barn, 33 Herff Road, Boerne
Description: Series: In Your Own Backyard

Join Maura Bobbitt, our Herbalist and Farm Coordinator at Herff Farm for a class on making immunity boosting* and culinary vinegars, homemade shrubs, and oxymels. We will cover the possible health benefits, possible household uses and how to make your own! Each class will come with a virtual workshop that will be emailed to you upon registration. Then, on October 10th, the pop-up Herff Farm Apothecary will be open for all the ingredients you need to make Flu Season Fire Cider. Maura will be available for a Q&A and to help you select ingredients. If you cannot make the pick up time but still wish to participate in the class, please email maura@cibolo.org to make other arrangements for pick up.

COST: $25 members; $30 non members

Join Louis San Miguel of Mycobuddy to learn about how to cultivate culinary mushrooms in your own home! This class will come with an online workshop teaching you how to make your mushroom kit and a virtual mushroom walk at the CNC & Farm. Come pick up your mushroom kit materials from 1pm-2:30pm on November 7th at the pop-up Herff Farm Apothecary for an in-person Q&A with Louis. If you cannot make the pick up time but still wish to take the class, please email maura@cibolo.org to make other arrangements for pick-up.
